Cheerful silver dome earrings inlaid with tiny onyx apples, made in Taxco, Mexico. Bubbles of bright sterling silver are hollow with closed backs, so they are sleek, smooth, and light weight to wear. Sweet little black onyx apples are set in the domes. These adorable earrings are clip-on. The backs are marked "925," "TS-79," and "Mexico." Circa 1960.

The city of Taxco is an important center for Mexican silver jewelry design. The "TS-79" mark indicates this piece was made in Taxco by the seventy ninth silversmith to register their mark at the Taxco assay office with a name beginning with "S."
