Beautiful workmanship can be seen all round the bangle from the Art Deco period.
Paste is hand-cut glass that has been polished with metal powder until it shimmers like a gemstone. They are also a transparent flint glass that stimulates the fire and brilliance of gemstones, because they have a relatively high indices of refraction and a strong dispersion.
